Nollywood Movies Colonial Plots

"I've been watching Bollywood movies since I was a toddler and I've never seen any scene where a western preacher walks into a village, goes to a Hindu temple, confronts the Hindu priests, battles the Hindu gods, wins, burns down the temple and converts the entire village to Christianity.

I've been watching Chinese movies too since like forever and I've never witnessed a scene like that.

But 80% of our Nollywood movies with plots set during the colonial era and even modern times have scripts like this; scenes of African gods being defeated by the white man's god.

Does it mean that the white man's god is powerless against Lord Shiva, Lord Krishna, Buddha, Allah and all the Asian gods?

Is it only when matched against the black man's gods that the white man's juju is on top form?

Let me tell you something: Religion is nothing but a war of cultural identity and superiority.

And Africa lost.

The Indians and the Chinese held their gates.

They rejected every aspect of colonialism that sought to tarnish and belittle their cultural heritage.

That's why they stand proud today.

That's why you'll never find such scenes in their movies.

That's why you and I will never see anything wrong with a samurai, ninjas, kong fu, tai chi, yoga and all the things we see in movies from the lands of the rising sun.

Heck, Most of us wanted to be ninjas after watching Five Elements of Ninja and American Ninja, as kids.

The fact that ninjas are historically soulless blood thirsty assassins used by Japanese emperors to inflict fear and death on rebellious provinces didn't even matter. We all loved them regardless.

But the very sight of a dibia in a Nollywood movie would send negative signals to our brains.

Why do we always portray our cultural heritage in a negative light?

Yes, they were crude and barbaric; evil even.

But which ancient culture wasn't?

Even the bible and Quran cultures you hold so dearly are no exceptions.

It's funny how a lot of Africans still believe the white man gave them Christianity to save their souls and bring them salvation.

I laugh in 400 years of black slavery and subjugation.

Given how the white man treated our ancestors, like animals, how on earth are you people able to convince yourselves that they gave a f**k about the black man's soul.

We were animals without souls to them!

Don't you see that you're still slaves?

It's 2019, the white mans world is working on innovative ideas. But Nigerian Facebook is lit with arguments of church tithes and offerings.

Is this how we're going to be great?

I've said this before and I'll say it again.

YOU’RE NOT AFRICAN – Year of Return

I have heard the phrase “you’re not African”, all too often, callously and ignorantly roll off the tongues of Ghanaians. These often are not only unaware of their great history but most certainly have biasedly misjudged and ignorantly prejudged the Diaspora according to Western and European raciest propaganda.

As the saying goes, Diasporas may not have been born in Africa but Africa was born in us! Those of us who desire to claim our inheritance as African are African!

These same people who deny we are African are they who have their hands out as beggars for handouts in the richest Continent in the World.

These ignorantly think that Diasporas not only have money and are rich, comparing we who built up other countries with free labor, while being denied opportunities as our White counterparts, immigrants, Gays and White women; in addition to Africans low slave wage workforce, as a result of their mismanagement of natural resources to their self deprivation and destruction of the African economy; are forced upon those of Diaspora versus those who are actually stealing from Africa and Africans. Africans think that Diasporas own them for our Ancestors being sold out into slavery whereas many of them have benefited financially. Yes, I said exactly what you think I said. Someone prove me wrong!

Yet, Diasporas are rejected as African to solidify the insatiable greed and petty jealousies of the same Africans who reject the wisdom and knowledge of the Diasporas achievements of building other countries to modernization and their years of sacrifices and rejection in America.

"Just show me the money!" Africans see this Historically Unique Group (HUG) of Original Diasporas only as dollar signs; as tourist to boost the economy diverting some of that Diaspora spending power into their government coffers along with the 234,000 Ghanaian constituency residing in the US.

These Ghanaian welding Green Card holders have taken over first place slot as Diasporas. Although they forsook Ghana, leaving willingly in search for their American Dream, they also are enjoying the benefits of the Original Diasporas of HUG labors and sacrifices.

While some Diasporas are well off and they deserve it, many are they who just like any African, work for lower wages in a suppressed and oppressed raciest colonial System meant to keep us in a lower financial economic class.

Africans are totally oblivious to the plight of those Africans of Diaspora. I do not care how many years you spent abroad or in America, there is nothing that comes close to the atrocities Diasporas has endured to make the Americas, Europe and other continents a better place for all its inhabitants.

Therefore, the Diaspora has to fight in a country where they never received justice, equality or citizenship; being classified as 3/5^th human according to its constitution. We then come home to Mother Africa having to fight with our African sisters and brothers for our rightful divine inheritance. This is while over 200,000 Ghanaians alone seek refuge and their piece of the so-called American Dream in a country built on the bodies, blood, sweat and tears of those African Ascendants of Diaspora of whom they reject.

The god-given inheritance of the African is being given away to non Africans. Our inheritance supports and maintains the colonizers and enslavers country’s economies and Embassies. All the while, Africans continually live below their means among open sewers, lack, poverty and darkness as a result of adherence to their colonizers slave religion that they too reject those of Diaspora.

Like it or not, the Diaspora has been drawn to Ghana and sent to point the Chosen Ones back to the true Way and Light; to SANKOFA; to Restoration; to freedom; to prosperity; to enter into their Promised Land.

There is no getting around the divine purpose of the Year of Return or the prophetic fulfillment of the end of 400 years of bondage, no matter Africans intent. It is written and so it is and will be!

Whatever one’s mindset, this shift in conscious energy, the portals of wisdom that has been opened, one will either come to their ‘End-Time’ as a christ or antichrist, rich or poor; in light or darkness; righteous or unrighteous. Know that none but the righteous will inherit immortality. The unrighteous, those who dwell in the dark energies of old will haves no part in the Kingdom.

"If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (2Chron14:7) Catch that vision and revelation...
