Most often, we are unaware of the origins of them or even the definition of the words and phrases that we use.
Our words have power just as our thoughts have the power to transform circumstances in our life for better or worse.
Many adhere to a way of doing things merely because that is what they were taught or heard or everyone was doing it or saying it kinda thing. In Christianity there is an overwhelming tendency to adhere to tradition and doctrines without questioning the origin.
Why is it so important to know then why we do a certain act or say a certain word or have such attitudes and characteristics?
Ignorance is not bliss but they who gain knowledge are wise and will receive much insight. For it is in searching that one finds the divine dynamics and principles to become fruitful and prosperous.
We must continually grow in grace, leaving behind the old putting on the new. This is what life is all about renewal and restoration into a more perfect way of life. Therefore, I have taken liberty to present a simple yet informative video on the origins of the word ‘Amen’.
