Africans have given up too much of our history already for the convenience of others or to stroke someone's alter ego of 'brown nosing' the colonial masters.
These people are not Africa's friend their only motive is they come to kill, steal and destroy. They have already perverted and changed African history so that the African do not know who they are. A well calculated plan to keep Africans in darkness, ignorance, chaos and poverty.
Most importantly, If Africans knew their history, they would learn of the power they have through the Ancestors. This would bring them into the knowledge that the religion given to them is the enemy's major tool of control over them. Therefore, African history is not taught and any attempt to change it is to further propagate the illusion of freedom as the African remain in ignorance and poverty under their colonizers control.
You see, if Africans knew their rich history they would be in a position to reclaim their heritage and stolen legacies that has been intentionally kept from them by their colonizers. This would be most detrimental to Europe, the United States; all who took part in the Transatlantic Slave Trade and devastating to the economies of all the countries that is floated from the resources of Africa.
Africans then would not be so easily hoodwinked. Neither would they continue to be docile or continue to allow corrupt politicians to sell them out to the highest bidder of those who rape Africa of Her valuable resources. ~ Apostle Rubie James-Nana Ama Yah Asantewaa
IT IS SHAMEFUL FOR NANA ADDO AND THE NPP TO CHANGE THE FOUNDER'S DAY TO 4TH AUGUST
I have read a Press release purportedly coming from one Eugene Arhin, Press Secretary to President Nana ADDO with shock and awe. I am shocked not because of the fact that Dr Nkrumah's Supposed Birthday of 21st September, to Which the Late President Mills and the NDC institutionalized as the founders Day, but by virtue of the fact that, the Presidents Virulent appetite of contorting history has reached an alarming epic proportions to the extent that it is no more funny again, coming just days after another falsehood was foisted on us in a conceited praise of Best Education Ministers.
The deceit is buried in the fallacy of the lop sided narrative of our short history as to the justification of 4th August being the best date to be set aside as our Founders Day. This is a historic fallacy of monumental Proportions.
4th August of 1897 and 1947 can't be, has never been, and should never even be contemplated objectively as being part of our Founders' day of Ghana for several obvious reasons.
1. The ARPS( Aborigines Rights Protection Siciety Led by John Mensah Sabah and Co wasn't formed to fight for what has now become Ghana. While their bold efforts must be commended and acknowledged in our Quest to document the struggles of our people against colonial rule and imperialism, let's not pervert the history to hoodwink the gullible public and pollute the minds of innocent generations yet unborn into believing that, the foundation stones of Ghana's independence was laid on such a date by the mere fact that certain Parts of the Country, threatened by what seamed to be an interference in the Management and control of their Lands, rose to defend their Customary Heritage falsely counted as being a bold attempt at attaining independence. That is obviously untrue. It was a bold attempt at standing to a Super power or Rising in defense of their Heritage but certainly not for the Independence of the entire Ghana. Just as others in several parts of the Gold Coast did and suffered the consequences thereof.
The ARPS was formed principally to fight for the Lands of the People of the Coast, then known as Gold Coast especially those around the Cape Coast Enclave but not the entirety of the Lands of Ghana.
They never fought for the Lands of the Territories now called Ghana from Colonial and Imperial control. Specifically, they didn't fight to stop the control and Vesting of the Lands of Ashanti and the Protectorate( Northern Territories) under the control of the Queen In 1901 and 1902 respectively, a period of just 4-5 years from their struggles of 1897.
The Lands of What was later known as Trans- Volta Togoland( Now Volta Region and The Eastern Corridor Part of Northern Region) were not part either.
2. UGCC was Dissolved as a party and their Leaders jumped ship after they suffered a massive defeat in the 8th February, 1951 Elections to which they recorded only 2 seats out of the Total of the 38 Seats which were to be directly Elected into the 84 Member Assembly.
Remember that the CPP was formed barely 2 years to the 1951 Elections but won 34 out of the 38 directly elected seats with the remaining 4 seats shared equally between the UGCC and Independent Candidates.
What Kind of Political Historical kneading can make a Government assert that the Date of the foundation of a certain Political Movement, In their bid to protect their Traditional, business and commercial interest, which later metamorphosised to a political party, Contested only one Legislative elections, lost massively to its rival and kissed the dust thereafter, rather bizarrely becoming the Day for the celebration of the founders of Ghana?
Remember Also that, the UGCC was dissolved after the 1951 poor showing in the Legislative Assembly Elections and never appeared again in the political landscape. It died a premeditated Premature neonatal death caused by a Political neonatal congenital malformation disease; Elitism.
It wasn't alive to contest the 15th June, 1954 Legislative Elections.
Neither did it resurrect to contest the 17th July, 1956 Legislative Elections.
These elections undoubtedly set the tone for the grant of our independence.
How come a Ghost 👻 whose mortal remains had long been interred resurrect after Akuffo ADDO was elected President to claim what it sincerely doesn't deserve? Thus the Parentage and Promoters of Modern Ghana.
If that is so, Then we must as well trace our Founders to the Man-Ape or Ancient Neolithic Man.
It is instructive to note that, In all these Elections of 8th February,1951; 15th June,1954; 17th July, 1956; 27th April,1960 and 31st January,1964, One Party and One Actor was paramount and leading In all: The CPP and Dr Kwame Nkrumah who won 34 out of the 38 seats of the 1951 Legislative Assembly, 71 out of the 104 seats of the 1954 and 1956 Legislative Assembly Elections and the Referendum of 1960 where Nkrumah Gained 1,016,076 representing 89.07 % and Dr JB Danquah of the UP managing a meagre 124,623 representing 10.93% of the Total Votes.
This is the first time a sitting President, Nana ADDO is asking Ghanaians to celebrate a Miscarriage in a Register of Births. How pathetic. It only exposes the desperate attempt to rewrite the History of Ghana to pervert Our Nations History.
NB: Remember, JB Danquah, the supposed leader of the UGCC was even defeated by CPP in his hometown Abuakwa Legislative Elections of 1951. ~ Salisu Be-Awuribe
