While taking on questions from The Root’s, Jenée Desmond-Harris, surrounding the most
practical and moral approach to the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, it was
not surprising that Newt Gingrich made more points than did Van Jones for the
protection and preservation of our
own underprivileged children and people.

The fact that it was Newt
Gingrich who brought up the disparities not only people of color are facing in
the Chicago area but depicted the state of our people around the USA;
Van Jones
clearly stayed away from the perpetual disparities Blacks face by directing his comments of concern for the fair treatment of ‘immigrants’ in this Statue
of Liberty State!
Jim Crow was the Blackest thing that Van Jones addressed
The point is that Black
people were not immigrants! The point is
that historically, immigrants has always been strategically used to take jobs from people of color and to keep
them as underclass people! Many immigrants were given land to settle here
in the USA. Yet, Blacks never received
their 40 Acres or a mule!
Immigrants are given health benefits when
Blacks and poor people have been without!
They are given incentives that Blacks have never received! They are allowed to draw from a System of
which they have never paid into!
Blacks have to this day been denied reparations when immigrants have been paid handsomely!
Historically, immigrants compact Black people into a perpetual state of poverty and joblessness into the ground.
Black people were not allowed on that proverbial ladder and those who were allowed could only take a few steps before being knocked back down or they become a Van Jones turning his back on the plight of Black people simply because he has made it!
