I just finished posting a
message for the Mature Ones on Revelation Today at Aworship.com.
This on-line worship place is quite diverse with many talented and anointed columnist.
I often read the jokes that's posted as a side bar. This joke I had to share, since it shows the epitome of ignorance being perpetuated by many Western and religious mindsets that expressly goes against Truth. However, it is a mindset that is deeply engrained within the minds of the people and is very difficult to break.
I often read the jokes that's posted as a side bar. This joke I had to share, since it shows the epitome of ignorance being perpetuated by many Western and religious mindsets that expressly goes against Truth. However, it is a mindset that is deeply engrained within the minds of the people and is very difficult to break.
Scripture expressly tells us that "in later times some will fall away from the
faith paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.” Many have not connected this doctrine of demons yet to
the ‘falling away’ or those who
teach apostasy by means of these doctrine.
Many who call themselves religious leaders teach and perpetuate such. The very Scripture that they teach from call them ‘liers’ and says that their “conscience has been seared” and those who believes these doctrines by
means of the ‘hypocrisy of liars’ are falling away from the Faith.
Leaders who teach such, need
to put this concept of a devil and satan in its proper perspective that the
people would know that the concept and the very thought of a devil is fiction! It’s a fairytale! It’s a lie! From the very beginning the concept was called a lie
and it still is a lie!
Here is the joke:
A few minutes before the
church services started, the townspeople were sitting in their pews and
talking. Suddenly, satan appeared at the front of the church. Everyone started screaming and running for
the back entrance, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away from
the evil incarnate.
Soon
the church was empty except for one elderly gentleman who sat calmly in his pew
without moving, seeming oblivious to the fact that mans ultimate enemy was in
his presence.
So satan walked up to the
old man and said, "DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" "Yep, sure do."
"AREN'T YOU AFRAID OF ME?" "Nope, sure ain't."
"DON'T
YOU REALIZE I CAN KILL YOU WITH A WORD?"
Don't doubt it for a minute."
"DID
YOU KNOW I COULD CAUSE YOU PROFOUND, HORRIFYING, PHYSICAL AGONY FOR ALL
ETERNITY?" "Yup," was the calm reply.
"AND
YOU'RE STILL NOT AFRAID OF ME? ", asked satan. "Nope."
More
than a little perturbed, satan asked, "SO, WHY AREN'T YOU AFRAID?"
The
man calmly replied, "Been married to your sister for over 48 years."
